MIKE VERLANDER

A native of Jacksonville, FL, Mike Verlander has worked in the NASCAR marketing industry for both race teams and sports agencies. Currently the Director of Business Development for Stewart-Haas Racing, Verlander manages the team’s new sponsorship development as well as working with current team partners on business-to-business initiatives.

He started in NASCAR with Evernham Motorsports as an account manager where he launched the No.10 Cup program and also managed the team’s No.9 car Nationwide sponsorship program. Following his time at Evernham, Mike worked with MCG Sports where he managed the new business development process for Joe Gibbs Racing amongst other teams. In 2008, he joined Haas CNC Racing (now called Stewart-Haas Racing) as Director of Business Development overseeing both the development and procurement of sponsorships for the team.

Verlander is a graduate of Samford University with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications. He also earned a Master of Science in Sport Studies from High Point University.
